Jessica & Simon ... 'till death, or extreme elements do us part!
As promised, here they are, Jessica & Simon ... in lusty love, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, through (and we're not one bit joking here) rain and hail and snow and sleet and freezing temperatures and wind like you just could not believe ... all with a smile on their face. Ain't love grand?!

Just in case ...
... anyone is wondering what this vicious, car eating beast of mine looks like ... here she is, in all her puppy glory. Her name is Oona, which means "the one and only" and I'm quite smitten, I have to tell you.
As is her due ...
The new issue of Real Weddings will hit the newsstands soon and I have a lovely feature inside called Romance on the Road ... a shoot of Kiri & Jordan's wedding in Coverack, an itsy bitsy, gorgeous little crag of rock clinging to the southern coast of England. Kiri is, herself, a working photographer and had seen the images from a friend's wedding, Katie & Paul, which I shot the summer before in Naramata, BC. Even with a keen appreciation for beautiful imagery, I'm not sure Kiri and her clan would have flown me all the way across "the pond" to shoot her wedding, had Katie not leapt into super saleswoman mode. She's one of my biggest fans ... and in truth ... I'm one of hers. Katie has old world elegance. She's the sort of child/woman who used to star in movies when movies were glamorous and only James Bond had a gun. She's sweet to the core and natural and fresh and just sheerly beautiful ... a kind of sunshine that pours up from the inside out. And her dear Paul is the perfect charming match for her.
When they invited me to their Christmas Party I walked in past an entire wall of giant wedding prints ... she had put it all together so well, and I shot back this spring to photograph her standing in front of it ... which, due to certain technical difficulties is no longer available to post. (My dog ate the memory card ... and my parking brake, and my driver's side visor, and a seatbelt, and the toggle switch that controls the cruise control ... yeesh!)
Ah well ... love the dawg ... love Katie & Paul ... and with much ado, here they are on their wedding day ...
Something a little different ...
Jessica and Simon were married on Saturday, amidst the biblical proportion weather that has hopefully spun itself out ... hail????? I'll post their wedding photographs soon ... in the meantime, here are some of their engagement shots ...

Kim's FAVOURITE colour :)
I am insane for ORANGE. It is the most luscious colour in the universe ... edible, lovable, amazing. I can't get enough of orange ... my entire living room is orange. I keep oranges piled on platters just because they're gorgeous and juicy and full of plump promise. And Cherly & Jeff are clearly kindred spirits :)

Wait for it ... the orange is coming ... fiery orange ... decadent orange ... promise :)
